The boxing community mourns the death of the all-time great trainer and commentator Gil Clancy. Clancy trained the likes of Emile Griffith, George Foreman, and Oscar de la Hoya. In the 80s and 90s he served as a commentator for CBS, MSG network, and HBO.
Clancy died Thursday, March 31, 2011, at 88 years of age. Thanks, Gil, for your dedication and service to the sport of boxing. You will be missed.
